1. About This Service

MIB Vault (mibvault.com, hereinafter “the Site”) is an independent enthusiast-run mirror that indexes and hosts vehicle software files - including firmware, datasets and diagnostic tools (“Files”) - for Volkswagen Group (VAG) infotainment units. The Site is operated by Plain Team, a private individual project, and has no affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement or authorisation from Volkswagen AG, AUDI AG, SEAT S.A., SKODA AUTO a.s., Porsche AG, or any other member of the Volkswagen Group of Companies.

All brand names, trade marks and logos mentioned or appearing on this Site - including but not limited to “Volkswagen”, “VW”, “Audi”, “SEAT”, “SKODA” and related model names - are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on this Site is for descriptive and compatibility reference purposes only.

2. Nature of the Files

The Files hosted on this Site are not sold, licensed, or otherwise commercially exploited by Plain Team. We do not claim ownership of any vehicle software, firmware, or dataset. These materials are shared freely within the automotive enthusiast community for personal, non-commercial use on vehicles owned by the user.

All Files are available at no charge. No payment is required to access, browse, or download any File on this Site.

3. What Paid Plans Cover

MIB Vault offers optional paid plans (“30-Day Pass” and a “1 Year Pass”). Purchasing a plan does not constitute the purchase, licence, or transfer of any File, software, firmware, or intellectual property.

Paid plans exclusively grant access to higher download bandwidth (i.e. an increased transfer speed cap) when retrieving Files from our content delivery infrastructure. Free accounts receive downloads at up to 50 Mbps; paid accounts receive unrestricted bandwidth from our CDN. You are paying solely for the network delivery service - not for the Files themselves.

This model is analogous to paying an internet service provider for a faster connection: the provider does not sell you the websites you visit, only the speed at which you can reach them.

4. Permitted Use

By accessing or using this Site, you agree that you will:

• Use any File solely for personal, non-commercial purposes on a vehicle that you own or are personally responsible for maintaining.
• Not redistribute, resell, sub-licence, or otherwise commercialise any File obtained via this Site.
• Not represent any File obtained via this Site as having been sourced from, authorised by, or endorsed by Volkswagen AG or any of its subsidiaries.
• Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction regarding the modification and updating of vehicle software.

5. Intellectual Property

Plain Team does not claim intellectual property rights over any vehicle software, firmware, or manufacturer data hosted on this Site. If you are a rights holder and believe that material hosted here infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us via Telegram (link in the footer) with a description of the material and the basis for your claim. We will review the notice promptly and remove any infringing content where required by law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all Files are provided “as is” and “as available” without any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with your specific vehicle configuration.

Vehicle software updates carry inherent risk. Applying incorrect firmware to an infotainment unit can cause permanent, irreversible damage. You are solely responsible for verifying that any File you download is appropriate for your specific vehicle model, hardware variant, and region before applying it. When in doubt, seek advice from the community before proceeding.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Plain Team and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of or inability to use the Site or any File; (b) any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any File; (c) any damage to your vehicle, hardware, or software resulting from the application of any File; or (d) any unauthorised access to or alteration of your data. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are claimed.

8. Refunds

Because paid plans provide immediate access to increased bandwidth and no Files are sold, all payments are generally non-refundable once the higher-speed tier has been activated on your account. If you experience a technical issue preventing access to the paid tier, please contact us on Telegram and we will resolve it promptly or issue a refund at our discretion.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Plain Team operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. 10. Lifetime Plan (Legacy Plan)

“Lifetime Access” or “Lifetime Plan” refers to continued access to the download service for as long as we continue to operate and offer this platform, not the lifetime of the individual user. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time for business, technical, or legal reasons, and will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice to active Lifetime Plan subscribers where practicable. Access under a Lifetime Plan is non-transferable, limited to the account holder, and may be revoked in cases of violation of these Terms. Should specific downloadable content be removed due to expiring third-party licensing agreements, this does not constitute a breach of the Lifetime Plan guarantee. In the event the Service is permanently discontinued, no refunds will be issued for any remaining or future access under the Lifetime Plan.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
